I often draw inspiration from what we did not create yet that we are swirling in to smith sounds. Like the light of constellations, the physicality of sound is impermanent, yet everlasting. I like to connect what is distanced by time and space by creating experimental audio timelapses, from the Chicago landscape to the confessions you only feel the freedom to make with the anonymity that comes with being a stranger in a foreign city, walking across a bridge, somewhere in between...
